3 Natural Approaches For Mixed Anxiety And Depression Disorder (MADD)

Mixed Anxiety And Depression Disorder, or “MADD” is a term used to describe a condition where someone has anxiety or depression that is not serious enough to be diagnosed individually, but when combined, can present a serious detriment to that person’s ability to function normally.

While medications do exist for these conditions, they can have undesirable side effects, and it has led some people to seek more natural methods for dealing with the symptoms of MADD. 1. Lavender Oil

Studies have shown that consuming lavender oil can be effective in mitigating the symptoms of both Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), as well as depression. One study published in Phytomedicine medical journal in 2010 found that subjects with GAD that were given supplementation with lavender oil capsules had improvements comparable to lorazepam, and conventional treatment for this condition. Both groups showed a 46% improvement in symptoms according to the Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA), and it is important to note that unlike lorazepam, which can be additive and has sedative properties, lavender oil has no undesirable side effects.
